Oh How the Sun Shines in Your Eyes

Dark pools

flecked with silver

—————something stirs

ripples on the pond

the way you blow

the way I shiver

———the way

you sing

my soul

——in me

the surface splits

the deep beneath

the fathomless

going down

to where

such treasure lies

to the long

brought alive

by you

by tongue

by language

by the way you move

is this how you speak to gods

Is this how you make them feel

like me

Oh how the sun shines in your eyes
